Job Responsibilities

As a lead teacher focusing on learning environments based on the conditions and needs of adult students, you will primarily teach adult learners and lead the pedagogical work in the unit together with the principal. This means that you will be part of the school management and work closely with the principal. Additionally, you will be part of a teaching team characterized by collegial support and collaboration. Besides teaching, you will lead development assignments with various purposes and needs, for example, based on the identified needs of the labor market committee. The overarching goal for you as a lead teacher is to develop teaching for higher goal achievement. The position consists of 80% teaching and 20% lead teacher assignments.

You thrive in the flexibility of adult education and naturally work with the individualization of teaching as expressed in the curriculum for adult education. You collaborate and cooperate with various roles within the Labor Market Administration and see skills supply as an important perspective in education.

The position consists of teaching both remotely and in classrooms. Courses and teaching content will vary over time, depending on the student base. Evening teaching may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in adult education and broad knowledge of available learning environments for adult learners with varying needs. You are skilled at providing students with support and stimulation so that they can achieve as much as possible and have good experience leading processes and colleagues in development work. You are driven by working closely with research and have a good ability to translate theory into practice.

You are a driving force in skills development initiatives and collegial learning, and you are an inspiration to colleagues and the entire Labor Market Administration.

You are well acquainted with the curriculum for adult education and the national goals. Labor market issues are close to your heart, and you enjoy planning your teaching based on different study paces and study forms.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least four years of well-documented work with teaching within the school system and a good ability to improve student results.
  • Teaching certification with qualifications in English and another subject at the upper secondary level.
  • Good digital competence.
  • Experience with adult learning and their varying needs.
  • Thrives in environments with high variability.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience in adult education.
  • Experience working with multilingualism and knowledge- and language-developing approaches.
  • Good ability to individualize teaching.

We place great importance on personal qualities.

Working Hours/Duration

Permanent full-time employment. Vacation position.
